Guidelines
Unique to our
city, the Civic & Arts Foundation’s Fiction Competition
for Young Writers awards young people between the ages
of 16 and 26 for their phenomenal fiction writing abilities. While
other programs that support writers exist in the city of Chicago,
our fiction program is special because it encourages young writers
during their early and most formative years. A distinguished panel
of individuals, including renowned writers and Golden Apple recipients,
serves as judges for this competition. The top stories which are
then published in an anthology.
Please join us in celebrating the following 2007 awardees. The Foundation applauds their talent and encourages them to continue their creative writing
