The Foundation facilitates Chicago’s oldest and most respected Music Scholarship Program. This competition’s young awardees are some of the most talented pre-professional up-and-coming musicians in the Chicago area. The Music Composition Competition and Jazz Improvisation Contest are two of the newest and fastest growing musical programs and are a testament to the Foundation’s development. Music winners are often asked to perform at Foundation events. At recent Foundation and Club functions, heads have been bouncing and fingers snapping as young jazz musicians perform with the ULC Jazz Band.
